Hello everyone on the desk today we’re going to talk about the new defender 130. what are your thoughts i’m going to share mine the 130 was released yesterday a little spy photo but we all knew it was coming they’re showing it in the sand on purpose so you can’t get a look down the side of the truck so we did some digging and on the internet i came up with
A few spy photos from different sources this one was on the motor authority site and they’re claiming that the wheelbase is going to be the 119 inches that the current 110 is i like that for several reasons one all of our parts are gonna fit most likely and two i really didn’t want land rover to extend the wheel base too much because as you’re trying to go
Over obstacles now you’ve got this extended wheelbase giving you headaches and you’re always high centered you know the other thing that i like is that we need more cargo room in the back the 110 is great and they made it quite capable but unfortunately it’s lacking in the boot as the english say there’s no storage room in it it’s hard enough to get a fridge
And whatnot so the 130 may prove to be the best overland new vehicle out there right you’re going to have the extra space you’re still going to retain a aggressive approach angle the wheelbase is not extended too much where you’re high centered on everything and we get a little bit of extra storage unfortunately the breakover angle is going to suffer but i
Don’t know man i’d rather have all my gear than have the better breakover angle if you want the most capable defender for off-road use then you know it’s a no-brainer get the 90 it’s got the 100-inch wheelbase which is arguably the best wheelbase out there if we’re using land rover math the back end should be 20 inches longer but that’s not really applicable
I’m betting they’re only adding maybe like a foot 12 inches at most i’m thinking it’d be closer to 8 inches but we’ll be able to get that third row seat a useful one and it’s supposed to seat eight so uh really looking forward to this truck how many people have pre-ordered raise your hand if you have all right guys that’s all i’ve got for today if you’ve got

They’re calling it long wheelbase was released not all the parts are there we dug around quite a bit but we did find that the trim piece is matching the same part number on the 130 as the 110 so in between the doors should be the same size all right now for real i’ll see you guys on the next one
