Hey this is jill salmonella with pickup truck plus suv talk and today we are the 2022 detroit auto show and behind me is the cadillac lyric we’ve got some stuff on the website about this um but we haven’t seen it in person yet so what we want to do is just kind of tell some of the details and do a quick walk around because by the way this styling is really cool so
The first thing you need to know is this is a 2023 model and it is going to be actually coming out pretty soon so it has up to 312 miles of range and it will have a rear wheel drive platform with all-wheel drive available um when we can get inside we really have to take a look because there’s a really cool 33 inch advanced led display so if you’ve seen our videos
On the cadillac escalade you know about that curved display the oled display that goes across well this is going to have that and i i don’t know i think it looks pretty cool it’s 4k a i think it might even be better than 4k and it’s just visually delightful so as you walk around the front of the vehicle you can see a lot of interesting lighting signatures going
On and that is going to tell you that this is an ev you know you because you don’t have to have a grill so you can get a little bit more creative with the design and i think this looks really good and one of the things that cadillac has done is they’ve taken this ev design and they’ve um you know managed to make it look like a cadillac so let’s kind of go around
To the side of the vehicle you’ve got your vertical lighting signature here and again that is very significant and signifying of cadillac and you move around the side you’ve got your cadillac emblem this is a production vehicle it is out as a 2023 model you have pop out tail lights here or pop out tail lights pop out handles oh that’s actually really cool they
Don’t pop out you just kind of press it and the door opens so on the interior you’re going to see a lot of nice details again i haven’t seen it at night so i don’t know if this is lit up but it looks really well done in terms of fit and finish and if we can pop in here again you can see in the front the that oled display and it’s not on unfortunately at the moment
But that will look very similar to the cadillac escalade and if you have seen our videos on that you know what that’s going to look like so it’s going to be high def and very visually delightful you also have some really good details here on the gear shifter okay yep it’s a dial sorry but you have some hard-coded buttons for the hvac system which i definitely like
And it looks like there’s going to be a volume knob so i appreciate that as well then you have this very expansive glass roof and yep auto show lights yay that looks very attractive so moving back out of the vehicle um you know i i will say like i’m about five feet tall so i can get in and out of the vehicle pretty easily and i do have a decent amount of leg room
Going on um so we’ll have to maybe get tim in there later and see what he looks like and you come around to the back and somebody has graciously opened the the trunk for us and you can see there’s a decent amount of cargo room back here and again you see the lighting signature there the vertical tail lights which is a very distinctive cadillac feature so this is
