Brian was never a van guy and the only reason he really bought a 4×4 sprinter is that he was going to flip it to make money and buy another rig. But once he gave it a spin off-roading he was hooked and decided to make it his new hobby. His has all the bells and whistles and loves adding on new accessories and features to make it the all-around overland vehicle.
I bought this band as a flip basically to make money on it to go buy another rig i just ended up loving it you know so it’s still here it does surprisingly well when i say surprisingly and not that i’ve had any doubt in it but there have been a lot of people that have never seen a 4×4 sprinter do things that you know toyotas and land rovers in you know other 4×4
Vehicles deal wherever most of those overland groups go is where this rig can go yeah and i’ve and i built the van to do to do so so that’s been my main focus of the build of this van is purely off-road my name is brian this is my 2018 4×4 dually low roof sprinter so right here we i just got this from pupper steel from ca tuned right here we’ve integrated this
Warn winch inside here and we’ve got the factor 55 accessories up here for the winch right here these are the lp six in amber amber cuts through dusts when i’m off-roading and cuts through fog a lot better than white light these vents are made by a company called track spec motorsports so you see these in a lot of race cars i put it in the van for heat extraction
Just cuz you know my kind of background is being like the gear head and tracking cars and things like that i wanted to make sure that the air was ventilating these tires are the bf goodrich ko2 s very popular on off-road and sprinters probably one of the top two tires out there available for all terrain the suspension i have are the shocks right now from agile
So those are beefy 2.5 fox shocks so agile off-road installed this an arb twin compressor that’s melted under the hood it’s very convenient for the tires in the back but there’s one under the hood as well take this off and then plug it in over here through here and then i would just link up to the tyres so i’ve got these solid steel rock sliders made by company
Called rugged design concepts in orange now these are solid you know flex i even i even will jack up the sprinter on these rock sliders so what rugged designs did is they they they connected it to the pinch seam but they also created brackets to connect to the frames so that’s why it’s so solid so these are a rugged design concept products right here – it’s the
Rear ladder here and then this aluminum rear bumper i’ve also got the factor 55 like in the front winch they make tow hooks a lot of the roof racks stop at the cab and i really wanted that safari look where it goes over the over the cab like a really nice awning that goes 270 degrees company from australia caught all new cab so it swings all the way around to
The back mmm so it started out as a cargo van completely bare-bones it was nothing my kids are young so i got the three seater to separate them so you’ll see that screen right there the concept is you know if you’ve got your events open you don’t want people to punch through the screen so they created this security panel it is a three panel bed so i can take it
Apart though usually when i’m when i’m off-roading this will be disassembled so they’re not bouncing around and then when we camp they don’t take everything out and set up but we use it for camping and traveling and that’s what it was for it was primarily just to you know give my wife a break and take the kids off-roading and get them out of the house and explore
And get dirty you know it’s it’s super fun a lot of people will say that it’s you know they think that it’s gonna be top-heavy or it’s not it’s not stable but you know i did some research and even you know mercedes will tout that a can it has good approach angles and good stability and so i put it to the test you know and and it does really well i’ve never felt
Unsafe in the rig if anything i feel super confident the freakin monster yes you
