This is the 2023 genesis g80 this one is equipped with the advanced package and the price with this advanced package is 59 375. in today’s video i’m going to be taking this g80 on a poe test drive and i’ll tell you what i think about this g80 if you guys are interested in this color it is called capri blue and i think it does look pretty good when it’s cloudy
It does look like black but when the sun is hitting it it does look blue but let’s go ahead and take this 2023 genesis g80 on a drive and see how it does foreign with this 2023 genesis g80 so does look very good from the inside there is a 14.5 inch screen this is nice and soft i love this wood trim this is part of the advanced package as you can see it does look
Very very nice the whole door panel is finished in a soft material so good job genesis for making every single thing on this door panel nice and soft and uh this advanced package adds a ton of features doesn’t add the lexicon sound system this wood trim cold seats 19 inch rims and it does add this panoramic sunroof and i think a few other things and actually the
Tri-climb control so there’s some climbing controls in the back but yeah this thing looks very very nice from the inside but let’s go ahead and take it on a drive and see how it does before we do that here is the backup camera this screen is touch there’s two different angles there’s down view and the narrow view you could actually control the screen with this
Wheel if you want to so very nice and this genesis g80 does not have the 3d view but let’s see how this g80 drives i finished reviewing i just finished filming a full detailed review of this g80 so if you guys are interested in this video it should be on my channel and climate controls are very easy to use nice storage place right there with one with two usbs
Two cup holders drive mode a camera button and the parking sensors by the way this one is equipped with the 2.5 turbocharged four-cylinder engine you could get it in e 3.5 twin turbocharged v6 very comfortable feels very luxurious and very quiet inside and the design from the outside it looks honestly alright i do prefer the e-class and the a6 the bmw 5 series
Better than this genesis but this thing definitely drives good and as you mentioned the price on this one is 57 000. i really wish that there was there was wireless carplay but sadly only wired some hyundai’s like the 2023 elantra seli tested it did have wireless apple carplay android auto so on something like this genesis i think that they should have added
Wireless car play this 2.5 turbocharged four-cylinder engine is nice and quick just wants to go and it’s very very smooth it is connected to an a-speed automatic transmission this eight-speed automatic transmission is very very good i just finished or i just came back from driving the 2.5 genesis gv 70 so it does have the same engine same transmission as this and
Drove very nice and smooth let’s go ahead and take this gv g80 on the highway and we’ll see how it does it is in sport mode now definitely feels lighter than the gv 70. that i drove and i’m driving this right after driving that gv70 so definitely feels lighter feels a little bit quicker oh yeah definitely this g80 accelerates way smoother than the gv 70 the
Transmission in the gv70 was tuned a little bit sportier than this g80 which is completely fine and that’s how it should be such a beautiful comfortable ride let’s go ahead and put this car in comfort mode everything just calms down transmission isn’t as aggressive the engine isn’t as aggressive as in sport mode there’s blind spot monitoring system by the way
The g80 has all the nice safety features blind spot monitoring system red cross traffic steering assist adaptive cruise control so let’s go ahead and talk about the suspension setup i think the suspension in this g80 is very comfortable so things like that you barely feel them energy it does have a floaty suspension but i personally think it’s perfect and the only
Reason is because this is a luxurious sedan again guys does compete against the e-class the bmw 5 series the audi a6 so definitely nice and quiet on the highway there is barely any road noise there is no wind noise and this thing drives just perfect anyways let’s go ahead and talk about the engine because i completely forgot to talk about the engine it does have
A 2.5 turbocharged i4 it is connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission and uh this 8-speed automatic transmission is actually nice and responsive not as quick as the gv70 i drove with the same engine so definitely the 8-speed automatic transmission is tuned different than the gv70 anyways guys this engine produces 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque
And um it is a heavy sedan but this 2.5 turbocharged four-cylinder engine is actually not bad and um on the right there is an lcd screen so the right gauges are an lcd screen eight inches and the left gauge is analog steering wheel has no key look to it not a big fan of it but it’s not too bad and i really like the brushed aluminum around the steering wheel the
Buttons the fit and finish everything just feels perfect in this g80 this is nice and soft i love this wood again guys this is part of the advanced package it is a 4 700 package a phone uh storage place right here it’s not wireless charging and there’s two usbs two cup holders inside there is a decent amount of space and uh as you guys heard it says leading
Vehicle is driving away that means the car in front of you moved and basically just gives you a message to tell you that pay attention the steering wheel is extremely extremely light sometimes this 2.5 feels a little bit sluggish but honestly most of the time it’s actually not bad 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque i think those numbers are more
Than enough let’s go and put this car in sport mode and let’s do an acceleration right here i found out leaving the transmission in automatic mode it’s a little bit faster than controlling it with the paddle shifters so this 8-speed automatic transmission is decent it’s not very very quick and it’s not bad i think it’s just perfect for this g80 again guys this
G80 has all the nice safety features for across traffic blind spot monitoring system it does have adaptive cruise control link keeping assist steering assist and currently the steering assist is active let’s go ahead and turn on the adaptive cruise control so basically activating the adaptive course control will keep a distance between you and the car in front of
You you could set one car gap distance two three or four cars and uh it will slow down come to a complete stop it will accelerate by itself it will do basically everything by itself and as you guys see it is steering by itself always pay attention so truly impressed with this g80 but i’m not gonna lie the g80 is my least favorite genesis and the only reason
Is because the design the way how it drives i think it drives perfect but i feel like it doesn’t look as good as the bmw 5 series the a6 the e-class and yeah that’s the only thing that i don’t like about this genesis g80 but other than that this thing seriously offers a ton of features the price is not bad and the way how this thing drives i think everything
Is perfect but the design not a big fan of it if you guys curious about the fuel economy numbers they are 22 in the city 30 highway and 25 combined those numbers are actually not too bad for the 2.5 turbocharged luxurious sedan it is a big heavy sedan steering wheel is very thin which is completely fine design is all right genesis system is very good as you
Can see the graphics the resolution the apps everything just looks very very good so i am truly impressed with this g80 i think it’s such a beautiful sedan drives good it is nice and comfortable quiet on the highway and uh it is definitely nice and the way how this thing accelerates it’s super smooth very comfortable confident suspension setup as i said it
Is a little bit on the softer side around corners but that’s completely fine this is not a sporty uh sedan this is a luxurious sedan and it doesn’t have like a sport suspension or any sport suspension tuning and this 2.5 actually sounds good but let’s go ahead and test the turning radius in this g80 and i’ll tell you what i think about it so for a big sedan the
Turning radius is actually very very good definitely very good it is a long sedan but turning radius is perfect it feels like it’s a small car it doesn’t feel like a long luxury sedan let’s go and put this thing back in sport mode i’m gonna go ahead and do an acceleration right here on this turn and see if i could get any wheels to spin right here there is the
Branch control engine shut off traction control trunk release spine and the e-brake and the trunk release button is part of the advanced package and this advanced package is definitely a must if you guys are interested in buying this g80 because it does offer a ton of features so trunk release button is basically powered trunk so up and down just click the button

Is an led light and it’s very comfortable sedan very luxurious very classy but again guys not a big fan of designed from the outside by the way i completely forgot but it does actually have the 19 inch rims so the size is 245 45 19 and those 19 inch are part of the advanced package they’re actually nice and comfortable on the highway um not a lot of road noise
Again guys the cabin is very quiet this car is very luxurious and very comfortable and i think genesis did a great job with it and um yeah there is no wind noise there is no road noise the cabin or the interior of this g80 is extremely quiet and uh yeah i personally think that genesis did a great job uh with this g80 by the way the brake pedal feels nice and solid
Very touchy and uh this car feels very confident stopping so the brakes are very very good on this g80 so beautiful sedan drives nice and smooth very comfortable now as i mentioned the fuel economy numbers are not too bad 22 in the city 30 highway and 25 combined and uh the interior of this g80 is very quiet so i would definitely recommend this g80 but if you
