Today I drive and review a 2022 Ford F-150 Lariat!
So we are taking a turn here and then we’ll get our acceleration here with this lariat hey everyone it’s ben hardy here and in today’s video we’ll be going over a 2022 ford f-150 lariat first and for also a huge shout out thank you to the larry miller ford lincoln here in provo for giving me some time with this lariat check out the inventory in the description
Down below let’s hop right into the video so under the hood we have a twin turbo 3.5 liter v6 that goes through a 10-speed automatic transmission fuel economy 17 around town and then 23 on the highway with power outputs being 400 horsepower and then 500 pound-feet of torque now let’s go to the front end of the lariat so first off i love this silver color it
Definitely uh kind of just adds a little style to the lariat anyways you guys since you’ve got the led accent lights here with the led reflector lights the accent light continues into the fog light region parking sensors here on the front bumper notice that it’s body painted and then notice how this portion right here is kind of darker in coloration and then you
Guys can see kind of the hood how it uh goes up and down all over the place definitely looks good and yeah there is the front end coming on the side here we’ve got two 75 millimeter tires wrapped around 18-inch wheels in the front and over in the rear as well and you guys can see you’ve got these really cool kind of like off-road style wheels with the silver on
The top and the black in the center and then all terrain tires you guys can see the front suspension right there we have our f-150 lariat badge right here we’ve got the body painted mirrors door handles notice that the window trim is blacked out this is kind of like a sportier themed truck there’s your full side view and then popping here to the rear you guys will
Notice that to the shocks in the back and then also the leaf springs on top of that and there you go now here’s our key fob you’ve got the unlock the lock the remote certainly the drop down here for the tailgate we have a payload capacity of 1725 pounds here with the lariat you guys can see the measuring chart all that fun stuff in the back got the led lights
On either side with the power outlet and you can see the cargo light there at the very top that’s also an led and this one has ford’s bed step system which is great and then also it’s got the uh auto raise function which is a pretty bougie for a truck but definitely nice now let’s finish things up here with the rear so first off you guys will notice we got the
Ford logo f-150 stamped into the bed we’ve got the led tail lights here in the back the fx4 off-road sticker exhaust tip out on the side parking sensors here along the bottom with the body painted bumpers and also towing is well over ten thousand pounds which is great that’s off the rear now popping the interior i love the color combination with this particular
Lariat so you guys can see we’ve got the brown here at the top and the black down below the leather padding you’re gonna rest your arm and of course you’ve got the little map right there begging olsen sound system and then here are the seats in the rear so really nice leather you’ve got the perfect leather here in the center and then notice you can see a brown
Again with the piping definitely nice got the side steps which help with getting in and out you can see legroom is plentiful headroom is great as well we’ve got some cup holders right there you’ve got the charging port the vents and then more charging ports down below and then you guys can see here more cupholder action let’s head to the front so let’s go over
The door panel here at the front so again you guys can see the brown here and then with the black down below we’ve got all of our window controls here the power folding mirror control and then also the mirror adjustments three functions for the memory seats blind spot mining for the mirror i also realized this one doesn’t have the maps on it’s just the metallic
Gray so sorry about setting up the rear door panel anyways again bang olson sound system speaker you guys can see here with the headrest really nice the leather perfect leather here down below and then you can see again the piping power adjustments on the side of the seat we’ve got the pedals right there got this for the parking brake the pedal adjustment light
Controls the mirror lights the tailgate drop down the steering wheel is manually adjustable and there’s one look before we pop in so here is the steering wheel for the lariat really nice leather all around the steering wheel we’ve got the contrast stitching here on the center portion controls here for the center stack we’ve got our volume controls voice command
Controls cruise control on the other side turn signal windshield wiper stock and that’s all for the steering wheel now here is the center gauge cluster this has the full digital gauge cluster so there’s a few different menus you can scroll through to see different bits of information on the trucks like we can go to truck info for example so you guys can see that
Stuff but the main one you’re going to be on is my view and that setup based on what you want to see we do have some different drive modes we’ve got our normal slippery deep snow sand mud ruts and we have a raw crawl and then on the other side we have our tow haul eco and then we have our sport mode as well so a bunch of uh different drive modes to go through and
You guys know i’m a huge fan of the digital gauge cluster i think it just looks great so up top here we’ve got this for the camera parking sensors hazard lights disability control hill descent control and then we have the full 12 inch display first off popping it into reverse you got the backup camera trajectory lines that turn the steering wheel got our bird’s eye
View a bunch of different camera views including the bed cam for example then you got like this new zoomed in view on the receiver hitch which is great and then that’s just like your 360 view again that camera button if you press that notice you got the front view here with it so you can do a couple different view points there so from a camera perspective really
Solid this again like i said has a 12-inch display it’s great because it has ford’s like best version of the infotainment system on like this section right here that you guys can control you get all like the shortcut buttons all that fun stuff and then you have like this added section right here which you can scroll through a few different things so you guys can
See the different menus you can go through so like i love how you’ve got like eco behavior and then you’ve got like off-road so you can press that and then it’ll show you the off-road stuff that’s happening right now uh so yeah that’s all for that we have our pro trailer assist we got a trailer brake controls we have our drive line select here so we got our two
Wheel high forward high four wheel auto for low push in for the locker and then the drive mode select we’ve got our analog radio controls here with our analog climate controls this does have dual zone climate heated cooled seats all that fun stuff wireless phone charger and then you guys can see the trim piece that covers that and then some usbs in there we’ve
Got some cup holders here with the shifter for the 10-speed automatic it does have a manual shift function and then notice the center console’s two-tone with the black and the brown which looks great if you ask me definitely like the contrast tons of storage space and then you can see you’ve got the dual glove box you can see the trim on that and then you guys
Can see the brown leather here for the dash again looks great again another speaker for the bang and olson sound system we do have a power siding window and then all black headliner this one does not have a sunroof so here’s a window sticker for this f-150 lariat hopefully you guys can kind of see everything with the standard equipment and then the options that
Have been added to this particular truck uh anyways after all options this truck stickers for sixty two thousand five hundred and ten dollars and wait for it wait for it let’s take it out and see how it drives stocked by this billy before we set off there’s visibility of the hood both the mirrors let’s do a blind spot throughout the rest of the rear and let’s
Set off so setting off here in the lariats we are maneuvering through the parking lot first and foremost uh someone mentioned is i just reviewed an xlt that was you know really loaded up right before this and uh in that review i talked about how nice that truck is and how good of a value it is and then i review this and the msrp is like five thousand dollars more
Maybe i need to do a comparison video uh probably not today but in the near future uh with both of the trucks um but anyways uh this definitely uh feels so much more upscale compared to the xlt i will say that and again it’s five thousand dollars um there’s some key differences right so this has the full digital gauge cluster uh they both have 12-inch displays
This one has nicer seats this has cooled seats right a little bit nicer material use with the dash led tail lights the tailgate goes up as well as coming down whereas with the xlt it just goes down so again there’s some there’s definitely some key benefits with this over the xlt that may or may not be worth five thousand dollars to you guys again maybe i need to
Uh make a comparison video in the near future um but anyways let’s talk about how the lariat drives um first off the new f-150 is really smooth uh these leaf springs are actually really solid so uh compared to f-150s in the past and other trucks with these springs it’s it’s really good you get a little bit of you know a little bit of back and forth to the back
End here and there but it’s very minimal actually and ford’s nailed it this is definitely the best uh truck with uh leaf springs out there um so i will say that uh other than that the new f-150 is just great it’s really comfortable it’s really quiet uh the cabin’s very well insulated and it’s just smooth it’s it’s a really good luxury daily driver and these seats
Are amazingly comfortable they’re really nicely bolstered but they just they have this really nice padding to them uh that just makes it so that you just kind of like sink into the seat a little bit and it’s just a really nice comfortable experience okay so we are taking a turn here and then we’ll get our acceleration here with this lariat it’s quick the lariat
Is quick uh with just just this 3.5 ecoboost this new version of ecoboost is quick um can’t necessarily be said for uh some of the competition like the uh five seven heavy with the rams that is a solid powertrain it sounds great man people here in provo do not know how to drive that was a uh what do you call it a mad house um yeah it’s just this this feels quick
Whereas the powertrain with ram right it doesn’t quite it feels punchy but it’s not the same as this especially at elevation like you just just torque all the time just so much torque use your turn signal jeez you know what this is uh half review half uh ben hardy road raging because people don’t know how to drive down here uh i guess we’ll sum things up uh so
Exterior wise i think this is a great looking truck um interior wise i love how the lariat looks uh drives great feels like a luxury car basically but it’s a pickup truck uh and it has a luxury feel with the seats and everything um now aside from that um you know should you buy this over the xlt i guess again like i said i really need to make comparison five
Thousand dollars it depends if you want really want the extra options this has over the xlt right do you really want the leather seats and the digital gauge cluster and the tailgate that goes up as well as down and the cooled seat function if you don’t want that xlt but if you do want that lariat now that’s going to something’s up for a video on this 2022 ford
