The latter allows for bigger wheels and tires and the combination looks good too the trunk holds 11.9 cubic feet of luggage and the seats fold down for a bit more foreign before i get into it listen now that’s one smooth sounding engine it’s a 3 liter twin turbo v6 with active fuel management and auto start stop that makes a pleasing 335 horsepower and
405 pound-feet of torque a 10-speed automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels for those of you who like a little more adjustment driver mode control allows you to choose from the customizable my mode tour sport and snow and ice modes epa estimated fuel economy is rated at 18 miles per gallon city 25 miles per gallon highway with a combined rating of
21 miles per gallon auto academics saw an average of 20.7 miles per gallon during testing on the recommended premium fuel while somehow this is still classified as a compact sedan legroom is just fine other dimensions might be a little snug if you’re over six feet but if you’re over six feet you’re used to that finally ac vents and power outlets are welcome
Even if that imposing center hump isn’t while i’ve read otherwise i like the cockpit of this car the saddle colored inserts look rich and these leather seats feel similar not to mention i’m a sucker for metal speaker grills yeah some of the knobs and switches are chintzy but that’s not a luxury car offense that’s exclusive to cadillac so now that we’ve addressed
All that it’s time to take it out and see how it drives as i alluded to earlier i’m very impressed by this car and i haven’t been able to say that about a cadillac sedan since they stopped making mine it doesn’t feel quite as agile as my cts in fact it feels kind of heavy and i’m not sure if that’s due to the all-wheel drive or something that you can’t uncheck
From the options list the steering heft is a bit too heavy also especially at parking lot speeds and that’s in tour mode not sport and while i’m talking about parking lot speeds the turning radius is poor again not sure if that’s because of the all-wheel drive so if you don’t live in the snowy climates i’d stick with the standard rear wheel drive beyond that
This is a really nice car to drive the 3 500 optional 3 liter twin turbo engine is worth the price of admission with smooth strong and almost immediate power delivery the suspension feels great on the highway and magically absorbs road imperfections even big ones and the cabin is quiet plus these brakes feel wonderful the pedal is firm and they have a strong
Initial bite that’s easy to modulate so to wrap things up no this isn’t the best luxury sport sedan but in my opinion it could be the best one that caddy’s made for under 100 grand in a long time so there you have it guys the all-new 2020 cadillac ct5 premium luxury with all-wheel drive cadillac has really been impressing me with their sedans lately are they
Perfect no but they are starting to remind me of why i like my second gen cts so much as always if you like this video give it a thumbs up and let us know if you prefer rear aw or front wheel drive in the comment section below finally if you haven’t done so already by all means subscribe and hit that bell icon so you don’t miss what we have coming up next i’m
